Mario Cristobal is trying to get his Miami Hurricanes to take the next step.
Last season, they went 10-3, and at one point, the ‘Canes were ranked as high as No. 4 in the country. Unfortunately for them, what looked to be a potential College Football Playoff season ended with a loss in the Pop-Tarts Bowl.
Miami just lost quarterback Cam Ward to the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft (to the Tennessee Titans), but Cristobal was able to bring in former Georgia starting quarterback Carson Beck to fill his big shoes.
That was a big transfer for Miami. Speaking of, the Hurricanes landed another important player via the portal on Wednesday. Hayes Fawcett of On3 is reporting that former North Dakota State running back CharMar Brown is going to be a Hurricane in 2025.
