Bill Belichick’s tenure at North Carolina has been eventful…and we haven’t even played a game yet.
The legendary NFL head coach became the Tar Heels head coach back in December. Since then, we’ve heard a lot about Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend – who he reportedly met when she was 19 years old – but as long as the Tar Heels perform on the field, it won’t matter.
That’s what most seem to think, anyway. If the Tar Heels can win games this fall, the “distraction” talk about Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, will go away.
But one longtime North Carolina supporter is already fed up.

A longtime North Carolina supporter wrote an email to the school, complaining about the Belichick situation and suggesting that the school should be embarrassed.
“I am a longtime UNC fan and cannot believe you are stuck with a coach who is clearly being run by a woman who is young enough to be his granddaughter dominating football practice and interviews,” the unnamed person wrote, according to a story from The Athletic. “It’s ridiculous, won’t end well, and makes UNC look foolish.”
North Carolina has said that Belichick’s girlfriend does not work for the school. However, she has been extremely involved in his media tour and has reportedly been CC’d on all of his emails – at least, she requested that.
Belichick’s buyout at North Carolina dropped to $1 million on June 1, leading some to believe that a quick and easy exit would be possible. However, for now, it sounds like Belichick will be sticking it out in Chapel Hill.
