Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Milwaukee Brewers fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

In this week’s Reacts Survey, we asked fans which infield trade candidate they’d like to see the Brewers target ahead of the trade deadline. The results were very split:

All four candidates (Yoán Moncada, Ryan McMahon, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, and Miguel Vargas) garnered at least 17% of the vote, with Moncada (36%) and McMahon (28%) leading the way. I already outlined all four players earlier this week, but I’ll quickly cover Moncada again here.

Moncada is the second oldest of the four players (just six months younger than McMahon) and the furthest along in his career, as he entered the majors at age 20 in 2016 with the Red Sox. He peaked in 2019 with the White Sox, when he garnered AL MVP votes as he hit .315/.367/.548 (140 OPS+) with 25 homers, 79 RBIs, 83 runs, and 10 steals across 132 games.

While he hasn’t been able to replicate that success since that time, he’s turning in a solid bounce-back year with the Angels in 2025, hitting .237/.336/.505 with six homers, 19 RBIs, and 16 runs across 30 games.

Currently shelved with knee inflammation after missing time with a thumb injury earlier in the season, he’s expected to return in the next couple weeks. If he can maintain that early season success leading into the All-Star break, he’s a prime trade candidate if the Angels decide to sell, as they’re currently 33-34 and 2.5 games out of a playoff spot, the same number as Milwaukee, as they’re 37-33 but 2.5 games behind the Padres.

Even so, the Angels’ playoff odds, per FanDuel Sportsbook, sit at +1040, while Milwaukee’s odds are down to +250.

After adding some first base depth in Andrew Vaughn on Friday, will the Brewers make a move on the left side of the infield?

This week’s Reacts brought to you by FanDuel.
