The Pac-12 Conference has extended its agreement with CBS Sports as the “primary long-term media partner” through 2031. Gonzaga joins the league at the start of the 2026-27 campaign. Octagon, the Pac-12’s exclusive media rights advisor, was the group that facilitated this contract alongside Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould.

Here is what the deal consists of:

The annual football championship game is on CBS and streamed live on Paramount+.
The annual men’s basketball tournament championship game is on CBS and Paramount+.
A minimum of three regular season football games on CBS and Paramount+ each season.
A minimum of three regular season men’s basketball games on CBS and Paramount+ each season.
Football and men’s basketball games throughout the regular season on CBS Sports Network, with details to be announced at a later date.

This new media deal is projected to pay member schools between $7 to $10 million annually, according to Yahoo Sports. The additional television partners starting in 2026 will be announced at a later date, most likely a renewal with The CW Network and ESPN, who are set to broadcast Pac-12 games during the 2025 football season.

The new Pac-12 will consist of the Zags, Washington State Cougars, Oregon State Beavers, San Diego State Aztecs, Colorado State Rams, Utah State Aggies, Boise State Broncos, and Fresno State Bulldogs. Rumors are swirling that the Texas State Bobcats will be the final all-sports member needed to join (eight teams are required by the NCAA of all FBS leagues).

This conference has the fourth-best average NET ranking among all other men’s basketball leagues. Plus, seven of its eight programs have made the NCAA Tournament at least once since 2021, including two appearances in the national championship.
