UFC BJJ 1 Results: Musumeci vs. Gabriel

MMA Fighting has UFC BJJ 1 results for the Musumeci vs. Gabriel fight card and more from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nev., on Wednesday night.

The UFC makes its next big push into the world of competitive jiu-jitsu with UFC BJJ 1. While the promotion has hosted several UFC Fight Pass Invitationals, this event signals the start of the UFC’s own competitive grappling league, and will crown three new champions.

In the main event, Mikey Musumeci and Rerisson Gabriel will battle it out for the inaugural bantamweight title, while Andrew Tackett and Andy Varela will fight for the welterweight title in the co-main event, and Carlos Henrique and Danilo Moreira will roll for the lightweight belt in the feature bout of the evening.

UFC BJJ 1 will also feature five other bouts showcasing rising talent in the grappling landscape, including Bella Mir, daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir.
