Auburn football is looking to sway one of Alabama’s top defensive linemen from the 2026 class away from an SEC rival. Hugh Freeze and his staff will have a strong chance to do so this fall.
Jeffrey Lee of Rivals reported this week that three-star defensive lineman and Mississippi State pledge Kaleb Morris has scheduled a visit to Auburn. According to Lee, Morris will visit the Plains during the weekend of Nov. 1 when the Tigers host Kentucky at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Morris tells Lee that he is excited to take a visit to Auburn, which will be his first outside of attending camps with his high school team. Like so many other recruits, the key man in charge of communicating with Morris is defensive line coach Vontrell King-Williams. Morris described his relationship with King-Williams in a recent interview with Rivals.
“Coach (King-Williams) is recruiting me pretty hard. He’s a great person, a cool guy,” Morris said via Rivals. “He came to watch one of my practices in the spring and did an in-home visit that day. We’ve been building a relationship ever since.”
Auburn joined the race for Morris later than most other programs, and will compete alongside Colorado, Oklahoma State, and Miami in its attempt to flip him from Mississippi State.
Morris, a native of Semmes and a senior from Mary G. Montgomery High School, is a three-star defensive lineman according to all major recruiting outlets. He ranks as high as No. 74 nationally among defensive linemen, and No. 32 among 2026 recruits from Alabama.
