Despite the weather’s best efforts, today’s series finale against the New York Mets will be played as scheduled. Some of the roads leading to American Family Field are currently closed due to flash flooding, including 175 southbound to Brewers Blvd and Canal St. coming from the east. For more information, refer to the post below from the Brewers organization:

Now, as for today’s game:

Milwaukee will start Quinn Priester, who’s been lights out as of late, sporting a 2.30 ERA over his last 10 starts. He’s been a revelation since the Brewers acquired him from the Boston Red Sox, posting career highs in strikeout rate (19.7%), ERA (3.15), xERA (3.59), and FIP (4.01). Wins aren’t really a pitcher stat, but Priester is 11-2 as a Brewer, showing that he’s put the Crew in a position to win the game nearly every time he takes the mound.

On the hill for the Mets is veteran lefty Sean Manaea. Although Manaea has been effective (3.52 ERA, 3.55 FIP) through four starts since returning from an oblique injury, his last outing (against the Cleveland Guardians) was pretty rough — five runs on seven hits with three strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings.

Manager Pat Murphy has recently been fond of resting some of his usual starters on Sundays. Today’s game is no different — Sal Frelick, Brice Turang, and Christian Yelich are all getting the day off.

Caleb Durbin will lead things off for the second time this week. Durbin went 0-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout in his debut in the leadoff spot. He’ll be followed by Isaac Collins (hitting .423 over the last seven games) and William Contreras, who gets the day off behind the plate. Andrew Vaughn is in the cleanup spot, followed by Blake Perkins and Andruw Monasterio (at second base). Bringing up the bottom of the lineup are Danny Jansen, Brandon Lockridge (in right), and Joey Ortiz.

Today’s game will be broadcast on FanDuel Sports Wisconsin, Telemundo Wisconsin, and the Brewers Radio Network. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m.
