Josh Lowe. That’s it. That’s the article.
In all seriousness, Josh Lowe was responsible for all four Rays runs today, and did it via the long ball. It only took two at-bats, a three-run homer in the first and a solo shot in the fourth, both to center field.
He looked like the 2023 Josh Lowe that baseball fans and Rays fans alike are accustomed to, and with the 2025 season looking like a dress rehearsal for 2026, J-Lowe slugging again looms huge.
Editor’s Note: Both homers surely came as a relief for the player many in the clubhouse look up to as a vet. As noted by Adam Berry at mlb.com, Josh Lowe had hit two homers over his last 46 games combined heading into today. – DR
Ryan Pepiot gets the win, his tenth of the season and eighth in games started at 4PM or sooner.
The Rays go for the series sweep tomorrow with Ian Seymour on the mound at 1:35 pm.
