To anyone wishing to be an avid baseball fan, please, I implore you, find an alternate course of action.
Instead, why not go enjoy a Series of Unfortunate Events on Netflix or even the movie that came out in the early 2000’s. Perhaps you could even partake in all 13 books written by Mr. Lemony Snicket. This would be much more preferable over watching the Tampa Bay Rays 2025 season as it has been full of misery and woe.
If you are still drudging your way through this painful ordeal, I shall let you know that Ryan Pepiot was our Player of the Series for the Rays four game set with the Cleveland Guardians, there wasn’t much competition with only Shane Baz being the only other player that was in consideration.
Over his last few outings, Ryan Pepiot has been nearly unhittable his first two times through the order. Since August 11th, Pepiot has made five starts and opponents facing Pepiot over the first two times through the order are hitting .077/.182/.128; that is the lowest AVG, OBP, and 2nd lowest SLG in baseball among pitchers who have faced at least 80 hitters. Unfortunately, MLB games are nine innings long.
Pepiot took the mound on Thursday and was nearly perfect as he held the Guardians hitless over five innings, yielding just two walks and striking out six. The Rays would go on to win the game, their lone victory of the series.
