It certainly feels like head coach Dusty May could have something special on his hands as he looks to build the Michigan Wolverines’ men’s basketball program.
In Year 1 with the Wolverines, he went 27-10, won the Big Ten tournament and took his team to the Sweet 16. That’s one heck of a start, but May has also been solid in the talent acquisition portion of building a team as well.
His 2025 recruiting class ranked No. 11 nationally, and several intriguing players came over to Ann Arbor via the transfer portal. Now, May and Michigan are off to a hot start on the 2026 recruiting trail.
The news of the day for the Wolverines is that four-star power forward Quinn Costello from Boston has committed to Michigan.
Notably, Costello chose May and the Wolverines over an interest list that featured Michigan State, Texas, North Carolina, Purdue and Minnesota.
