The Golden State Warriors dominated the LA Lakers in their preseason opener, with Moses Moody making a good impression among fans.
The Golden State Warriors began their preseason quite well, defeating the Los Angeles Lakers in an impressive showing at the Chase Center.
While the Lakers were missing Luka Doncic, LeBron James, and Austin Reaves, the Warriors could call on their big three of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, and Draymond Green.
However, it was actually another Warriors starter who took over the game. Moses Moody dropped 19 points in the game, including 5 three-pointers made off just 7 attempts.
Fans were truly taken by Moody’s performance, with several fans chiming in after the game to lavish him with praise, while also comparing him to his fellow 2021 Draft classmate, Jonathan Kuminga.
NBA fans praise Moses Moody’s performance, say he’s better than Jonathan Kuminga
NBA fans were thoroughly impressed with Moses Moody’s performance, while Jonathan Kuminga failed to live up to the hype he created after his contract saga, with just 5 points and 6 rebounds.
One fan wrote, “Jonathan Kuminga has been the talk of the offseason for Golden State, but Moses Moody has quietly been the much better fit.”
While another fan simply said, “Moody >>>>> Kuminga.”
However, not everyone was critical of Kuminga, as one fan wrote, “Moody is HOOPING! To be fair, Kuminga played a nice game.”
Another fan praised Kuminga for adapting to Steve Kerr, noting, “Kuminga haters are real quiet… He’s barely attempting to score… Moody got that dog in him, too.”
But of course, Kuminga’s recent contract saga came into play, with one fan claiming, “That’s why Johnathan Kuminga is mad. Moses Moody is starting before him, and he thinks he’s better.”

Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody must only focus on their roles
Regardless of the comments made by fans after their first preseason game, both Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody should keep their heads down.
The two youngsters have a role to play on the team, and they must focus on delivering what Steve Kerr asks of them.
Kuminga and Steve Kerr’s relationship is reportedly still strained. In fact, Jake Fischer believes his ability to establish a role under Kerr will determine his future with the team.

“How Kuminga fits with the Butler Era Warriors will thus be one of the key storylines to track through the season’s first few months.
“If Kuminga struggles to establish a consistent role under Warriors coach Steve Kerr, as he has in the past, his name is destined to be at the forefront of Trade Season speculation.”
Hopefully, Kuminga is able to earn his spot in Kerr’s rotation, while also developing into the player he has the potential to be.
