Over 300,000 Attend 2025 Singapore Grand Prix Weekend

A sell-out weekend crowd of 300,641 spectators has been announced for the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix – an increase of over 30,000 on last year’s figure.

George Russell dominated the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix, winning the event from pole position while McLaren were crowned Constructors’ Champions for the second year in a row. The weekend was attended by 300,641 fans in total – the second-largest figure in Singapore’s history on the F1 calendar.

Weekend attendance at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix was increase of over 30,000 on last year’s figure. A major draw of the Singapore Grand Prix weekend is the off-track entertainment, with international artists headlining multiple stages. Elton John, G-Dragon, Lewis Capaldi and Foo Fighters were all on this year’s line-up.

Singapore Grand Prix Attendance Rises by 30,000

The only time that attendance at the Singapore Grand Prix has exceeded the 2025 figure was in 2022. That race, the first since a three-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, was attended by 302,000.

The 2022 race was the last to be held on the previous layout of circuit. The track now bypasses the Bay Grandstand area – a part of the circuit which had capacity for up to 27,000 fans. The fact that attendance is now almost level with the 2022 figure – and an increase of almost 40,000 on the 2023 figure – shows how much grandstand and general admission capacity race organisers have added in other sections of the track.

The 2025 Singapore Grand Prix currently ranks as the seventh best-attended race weekend of the season to date, though it is likely to be overtaken by all of the next four rounds on the calendar. Races in Austin and Mexico usually attract attendances of over 400,000, while figures for races in Brazil and Las Vegas both exceeded 302,000 last season.

With six rounds remaining in 2025, overall attendance now stands at over 4.9 million. F1 remains on course to beat its record overall attendance figure of 6.5 million from 2024.

2026 Singapore Grand Prix to Feature Sprint Race

Formula 1 will return to Marina Bay Street Circuit next year for the 17th running of the sport’s original night race. The 2026 Singapore Grand Prix is set to take place on October 9-11. Next year’s race will be one of six rounds on the 2026 calendar to feature a Sprint event.

It will be the first time that Marina Bay Street Circuit hosts the shorter Sprint format and, given the weekend schedule, will likely be the first F1 race held at the track in the daylight.
