Manchester United do not want to sell Kobbie Mainoo, according to Football Insider.
Although Mainoo has struggled to establish himself in the Man Utd starting line-up, the Red Devils value the young England international midfielder highly and consider him a big part of their future.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke said: “It’ll take a lot of things, think, for Man United’s stance to change. United don’t really want to let him go.
“They blocked moves for him in the summer window and their stance remains the same in January.
“Mainoo is frustrated with his lack of first team opportunities under Amorim this season, but Man United are an injury away in midfield from Mainoo getting back in that team.
“If Bruno Fernandes or Casemiro were sidelined through injury or suspension, Mainoo would be the obvious replacement in their team as well.
“United are fully planning to keep Kobbie Mainoo as they still feel he will have a role to play for them this season as they look to try and finish as high up the Premier League table as possible and to qualify for Europe, whether that’s top four or top six.”
