Your Action Plan
What: Correct your driver setup by positioning your chest and eye line behind the ball using rotation, while avoiding unnecessary side bend (leaning away from the target).
Why: Excessive side bend causes you to hang back, which leads to hitting behind the ball (fat shots) and leaving the clubface open, promoting weak shots that drift right.
How to Achieve Proper Position:
Benefit: Proper rotation prevents an out-to-in swing path and allows you to launch the ball powerfully without hitting the ground first.
Avoid Side Bend: Be careful not to lean severely away from the target.
Use Rotation: Since the ball is positioned far forward (way up in your stance), you must rotate your chest line so it naturally sits behind the clubhead.
Keep Your Eyes Back: Maintain your eye line behind the clubhead through and past impact.
