We’re a little over a month away from the 2025 NFL Draft and Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ draft stock only seems to be dropping faster and faster.
In the latest draft ranking from NFL.com, analyst Eric Edholm didn’t exactly do Sanders’ stock many favors with his spot. The top two spots were given to Penn State’s Abdul Carter and Sanders’ longtime teammate Travis Hunter, with Miami quarterback Cam Ward getting ranked No. 10 overall.
As for Sanders, he was dropped out of the top 25 and ultimately out of the top 32, ultimately falling into No. 35. However, he is still the No. 2 quarterback prospect in Edholm’s ranking, ahead of Ole Miss star Jaxson Dart.
Edholm largely critiqued Sanders’ “average physical skills” as something he needs to overcome.
“If accuracy, toughness, instincts and NFL bloodlines are traits you value in a QB, Sanders could be your man. He’s been beaten up a bit in media reports, but I’d bet on him overcoming average physical skills to eventually find some success as a rhythm passer in the NFL,” Edholm wrote.

Granted, being a quarterback ranked outside the top 32 doesn’t mean he’ll be drafted outside of the first round. The quarterback position is at such a premium that teams may eagerly draft a player with such a grade all the way in the top 15.
There were certainly one or two such players that were drafted in that manner in last years NFL Draft.

But Shedeur Sanders doesn’t seem to be getting a ton of love from the scouts as Draft Day in Green Bay approaches.
It’s increasingly looking like he could have a pretty steep fall on Draft Day unless a particular NFL team really falls in love with him over the next few weeks.
Where – and when – will Shedeur be drafted?
