The Pac-12 Conference has officially signed with USA Sports (USA Network), the new sports arm of Versant, to a new media rights deal starting in 2026-27. This partnership will run through the 2023-31 season.
The new deal will include:
– 22 regular-season football games each season
– 50 regular-season men’s basketball games each season
– 5-10 regular-season women’s basketball games each season
The men’s basketball conference tournament will also be available through USA Sports. The championship game will air on CBS.
Pac-12 Enterprises, the broadcast production arm of the conference, will produce 80+ events annually on USA Network.
“The new Pac-12 is where tradition meets transformation — a unique opportunity in the rapidly-evolving college sports landscape that strongly aligns with the go-forward vision of USA Sports. We are thrilled to launch this partnership with the USA Sports team and leverage our shared vision to build something unique and special.” – Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould
With this new media rights deal, Gonzaga will get a full share of the profits. That is expected to be worth somewhere in the range of $7-12 million per school.
The Pac-12 now has three television deals with CBS Sports, The CW, and USA Sports. Octagon, the Pac-12’s exclusive media rights advisor, served as advisor for the league’s long-term partnerships. For the Zags, the delayed game starts on the ESPN Network looks to be coming to an end. This new era and out-of-the-ordinary media approach for the Conference of Champions will look much different on the tube.
