The Alabama Crimson Tide basketball program has been built up to be one of the best in college basketball thanks to head coach Nate Oats’ ability to attract top talent.
He’s brought in several elite players to play basketball in Tuscaloosa. That’s a list that includes Brandon Miller, Herbert Jones and Collin Sexton, amongst others.
Unfortunately for the Tide, they just lost an elite talent who was a part of their 2026 recruiting class, though.
Christopher Washington Jr. is a four-star small forward from Murfreesboro, Tennessee (Providence Christian Academy). He had been committed to Alabama since an official visit in early September, but that commitment is no more.
On Monday, it was announced that Washington has reopened his recruitment.
Notably, this news came after official visits to Cincinnati (September 12), Villanova (September 26), Auburn (October 10) and Florida A&M (October 17).
