The only move more obvious than the Dodgers exercising Max Muncy‘s $10 million option was the they would bring back Miguel Rojas. So, here’s today’s news.
Breaking: INF Miguel Rojas and the Los Angeles Dodgers are in agreement on a one-year, $5.5MM deal, sources tell @ElExtrabase. This will be Rojas’s final year as an active player.
Rojas will remain in the organization beyond 2026 in the player development department.

No-brainer.
Rojas had already stated earlier this year that 2026 would be his final MLB season, and there was no doubt the Dodgers would bring him back — especially after his World Series heroics.
He gets $5.5 million ($1.5 million less than I predicted in my Offseason Plan post) and, according to the report, will remain in player development following his retirement.
Perfect. No notes. Instead, I’ll leave you with a montage of Rojas videos from the 2025 World Series.

Dugout shot of Game 7 homer
I assume nobody minds, but MLB keeps releasing new footage and angles, this one “raw” field sounds, so here we go.

Welcome back, Miggy Ro. It’ll be hard to top this, but if anyone is going to find a way, it’ll probably be him.
