Arkansas Stare (6-6) will play Missouri State (7-5) in the inaugural XBox Bowl.
The game will be contested Dec. 18 at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Kickoff is slated for 9 p.m. EST and will be televised by ESPN2.

Arkansas State is coached by former Tennessee head coach Butch Jones. He served as the Vols’ head coach from 2013-17, compiling an overall record of 34-27. Jones won three bowl games and recorded consecutive 9-4 records from 2015-16.
During his first season in 2013, Jones guided the Vols to a 5-7 record, earning a victory against South Carolina and head coach Steve Spurrier.
He guided Tennessee to a 7-6 recorded in 2015 before finishing 9-4 in from 2015-16. During his tenure, Jones was 3-0 in bowl games. In 2017, Tennessee parted ways with him after the Vols had a 4-6 record.
Brady Hoke was named interim head coach and Tennessee finished 4-8 (0-8 SEC) in 2017.

Jones previously served as head coach at Central Michigan (2007-09) and Cincinnati (2010-12). Following his tenure at Tennessee, he was an offensive assistant at Alabama. Jones was hired at on Arkansas State Dec. 12, 2020.
He has compiled a 25-37 (16-24 Sun Belt) record at Arkansas State, guiding the Red Wolves to three bowl games.
