Wolves fans protest against the owners outside Molineux, leaving parts of the stands around the ground bare for the Man Utd game.

The fans were urged to boycott the opening 15 minutes to voice their anger against Fosun’s running of the club.

This was back by several supporters groups including the Old Gold Pack, Wolves 1877 Trust, Talking Wolves, Wolves Fancast, The Wolves Report, Wolves 77 Club, Always Wolves, Punjabi Wolves and The Wolfpack.

Supporters have been upset with what they deem a managed decline of the club, who have sold their best players.

FAN GROUP STATEMENT:

Wolves vs Manchester United – Protest – Monday 8th December

Wolverhampton Wanderers FC. A club built on rich history and tradition. Few teams have shaped the game like ours. But today, that legacy is being eroded – not by the fans, not by the players, but by the continued negligence & incompetence of FOSUN.

If you want to make a real impact, join us in staying outside the ground for the first 15 minutes against Manchester United. A visibly empty stadium speaks louder than any chant, banner, or slogan ever could. We all care. We all hurt. We all want better for Wolves. But this only works if the majority of us stand together and take part.

This is our club. Make it count.

OUT OF DARKNESS COMETH LIGHT

As a collective of supporters’ groups, we back OGP’s suggestion to miss the first 15 minutes of the game – and we urge every fan attending (where possible) to stand with us in doing so.

We want to make it clear, in a peaceful but unmistakable way, that Wolves should be run with the ambition, pride, and values this club was built on.

Supporters have tried to raise concerns. We’ve tried to engage. We’ve tried to be heard and it has felt, time and again, like Fosun and Jeff Shi simply haven’t listened. That’s why we’ve reached this point.

By not addressing obvious leadership failings from Jeff Shi, Fosun have left supporters doubting whether they’re still capable of taking Wolves in the right direction.

This isn’t about conflict. It isn’t about division. It’s about a fanbase that cares deeply for its club and refuses to watch it drift any further away from the standards and ambition Wolves deserve.

This club is our lives. We want better for Wolves. And it’s time Fosun recognised that. Important – Please Read: This is an individual choice, not an organised gathering at any specific spot. Please respect those who choose to enter as normal.

Keep entrances, turnstiles, pavements, and walkways clear at all times. Do not block roads or pedestrian routes. Leave space for others and keep moving where requested.

Respect and follow the guidance of stewards, staff, and police at all times. If police or stewards impose any conditions or directions, please comply fully.

To avoid a surge at 15 minutes, consider staggering your entry and follow steward instructions for queuing. Our aim is a safe, peaceful demonstration of concern for our club.

OGP – Wolves 1877 Trust – Talking Wolves – Wolves Fancast – The Wolves Report – Wolves 77 Club -Always Wolves – Punjabi Wolves – The Wolfpack

Following a poll of its members, the Wolves 1877 Trust has decided to support the Old Gold Pack (OGP) initiative which encourages fans not to take their seats for the first 15 minutes of Monday’s Manchester United game.

In a high profile game which will be beamed across the world, we believe that an empty ground would be a powerful signal to the club’s executives of fans’ anger right now.

Although this is not an initiative led by the Trust, we want fans to be as safe as possible. If you do decide to take part and not take your seat, bear in mind the following:

Some fans will not want to take part. Please accept and respect their decision. We’re all Wolves fans at the end of the day.

The concourses of the ground are not designed to hold everyone at the same time. Please listen to and follow the advice of any club stewards.

Keep clear of entrances, walkways and turnstiles.

If you feel unsafe at any time, please report your concerns to a club steward.

We also want to take this chance to note that the Trust is being asked for its direct support for a number of protest initiatives being taken by fans. There are lots of ideas around and it’s good that we supporters see that we can make a difference.

At the Trust, we’re all fans ourselves so we recognise the anger with the direction the club is headed in.

We are continuing direct dialogue with senior officials of the club and submitted a number of questions at the recent Fan Advisory Board meeting. We await a copy of the meeting notes, with its official responses from the club, before deciding what our next steps should be.

As a reminder, we want meaningful change in the way that the club is currently being run, and we want to see a strategic plan that recognises the need for investment in both the team and stadium infrastructure, rather than stagnation and decline.

Directly organising, or supporting, a protest of any type is a serious step to be taken by any democratically constituted organisation such as the Trust, whose primary role is to represent its members’ views through structured dialogue meetings. As board members, it’s us volunteers who would be held legally responsible if anything went wrong. So we will only begin organising the kind of protests you see at West Ham when we can be confident that :

a) they will make the impact we want and

b) when we can organise them legally, safely and peacefully. The West Ham ones have taken a full year to get to the level they are at now.

In the meantime, we recognise and support the right of individuals to peacefully ‘protest’ as they wish, and we will continue to seek the views of our members on our future actions.

Manny Singh Kang: “Our 150th anniversary coming up in 2027 and it will be in the Championship. Fosun are just 7% of that existence.

“It started ok, but has been destroyed by Jeff and Guo, who stands by him.

“Protest is a right, it’s not against the team, it’s against the dismantling of our club, the letters and emails haven’t worked. The dialogues haven’t had any positive response. Taking further action is a basic human response, Especially when it involves something that is a huge part of life.

“Stop buying merchandise and any in ground food and drink. Protest outside the ground and go in 10 mins late. Any of that will make an immediate impact. The players and staff will know it’s not against them. The club read all of the posts. Whatever the fans decide, needs all to stand together to make the best possible impact.

“Empty for 15 mins! If there’s elders and children, and disabled. Let them in first into the concourses to wait there! This isn’t about the players and manager. It is a show of solidarity against this negligence our owners have shown. We’ve all been very fair with them up to now

“People worried that coming in 15 mins late is a snub of the players. They know it’s not against them, they all read the stuff. It can’t be any worse than it is, they may even relax and play better. Imagine if we missed a Arias wonder goal bicycle kick in the 7th minute 😀🤔🤔

“So there’s a small group of fans who reckon because I fundraise i shouldn’t be critical of JS/Fosun.I’m my own person and if something needs to be called out, I’ll call it out. They don’t employ me.Jeff Shi has made huge errors which has impacted so many..

“Our people are our backbone and his decisions eroded away so many families who went for many years. The neglect for our club has carried on for years now, some great people have left the club. I’ll call out who I want. It’s my opinion. You have yours 👍🏽🧡

“Obviously there is a match tonight and we want our team to win each game it plays regardless of the current issues.

“We’ve been 0-0 at HT in the last 4 games. At the crucial moments we’ve come out 2nd best. None of the opposition has played that well. Let’s try and be braver 🙏🏾”
