On3’s Steve Wiltfong sees big potential in Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham, saying he could win a national title if hired at Michigan.
With the Wolverines still evaluating their options to take over the program, Wiltfong believes Dillingham is a name to watch.
“He is a very exciting young coach with a high offensive-mind IQ,” he said on the Wiltfong Whiparound. “He’s in tune with everything within his football program. He’s a players’ coach.
Dillingham made history in just his second season at Arizona State, leading the Sun Devils to the College Football Playoff after capturing the Big 12 title in their first year in the conference in 2024.
“I think if you put the block ‘M’ on his golf shirt, he’d become one of the top coaches in college football,” he added.
Dillingham’s rapid rise at Arizona State has made him one of the most intriguing young coaches in the country. At just 35 years old, he’s already flipped a program and proven he can win at the Power Five level.
He has reignited the ASU fan base and transformed the Sun Devils into a legitimate national contender in a remarkably short time. Whether Michigan makes a move or not, the foundation he’s building in Tempe is drawing national attention, as top programs across the country begin to eye him as a potential hire.
