The team is choosing not to raise a banner at Madison Square Garden to commemorate the tournament victory, according to multiple reports.

New York doesn’t want to diminish the accomplishment but is more focused on winning the NBA Championship in June, according to SNY’s Ian Begley.
The Knicks are choosing to instead celebrate the win at MSG on Friday with home fans, ESPN’s Shams Charania adds.
The win gave the Knicks their first trophy since 1973.
The two previous NBA Cup winners, the Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks, both raised banners following their tournament victories.
