Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes put together a solid 2026 class, and they’re already doing the same on the 2027 recruiting trail.
In fact, on Monday, the Buckeyes landed one of the top overall recruits in the 2027 class. In some rankings, he’s actually the very best.
David “DJ” Jacobs is a 6-foot-5, 225-pound EDGE from Roswell, Georgia (Blessed Trinity Catholic). According to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, he’s the No. 8 overall recruit in the country and the top EDGE prospect.
The 247Sports only rankings are even higher on him, to say the least. In fact, they consider him the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2027 cycle.
It’s early on in the cycle to make a commitment, but with nearly 40 offers to his name, Jacobs has been busy taking it all in on the recruiting trail.
