The college football transfer portal window is entering Week 2 of 2026, and three Big 12 teams, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Arizona State are currently ranked in the Top 10 of the 247Sports transfer portal rankings.
Oklahoma State is ranked No. 2, trailing only the Texas Longhorns. Then, it’s the Texas Tech Red Raiders at No. 8, followed by the Arizona State Cyclones coming in at No. 9. The SEC has five teams in the Top 10, the Big 12 has three, and the Big Ten has two (Penn State, Indiana).

Oklahoma State is under a complete rebuild with head coach Eric Morris bringing in some of his top talent from North Texas, led by quarterback Drew Mestemaker, along with teammates like running back Caleb Hawkins and wide receiver Wyatt Young. If these guys can come together with the explosive offense they had at North Texas and parlay that into success in the Big 12, the Pokes just might get themselves back on track after going 0-9 in Big 12 play in each of their last two seasons.
Meantime, Texas Tech remains a beast in the portal, with former Cincinnati quarterback Brendan Sorsby their headliner as the No. 1 available quarterback in the transfer portal. And Arizona State’s crown jewel is former Colorado wide receiver Omarion Miller.
Other Big 12 Teams Transfer Portal Rankings (Jan. 11)
As for the rest of the Big 12 Conference, Colorado’s portal class comes in ranked No. 19, followed by Baylor at No. 25, and then there’s a drop before a bunch of Big 12 teams appear, with Houston, Cincinnati and Arizona coming in at No. 37, No. 38 and No. 39, respectively, and then Kansas is ranked No. 41.
Other Big 12 teams in the Top 50 include West Virginia at No. 42, Iowa State at No. 43 and K-State at No. 44. Then it’s TCU at No. 47 and Utah at No. 48.
There are still two weeks for teams to make additions in the transfer portal, so we will see what happens between now and January 16th, when the portal closes. However, with Miami and Indiana still playing in the National Championship, players from those teams will have a window from January 20th to 24th to enter the portal as well.
