Florida football added another piece to its receiver room on Monday, landing a transfer commitment from former Indiana Hoosiers wide receiver Ace Ciongoli.
The Massachusetts native did not see game action during the 2025 season at Indiana, which means he arrives in Gainesville with four years of eligibility still intact.

At 5-foot-11-inches, Ciongoli originally signed with the Hoosiers out of St. Sebastian’s School in Needham, Massachusetts, where he played for head coach Daniel Burke. During his prep career, he earned All-Independent School League honorable mention recognition.
While his time in Bloomington was brief, Jon Sumrall and his coaching staff clearly see long-term upside in bringing him into the program early in his college career.
The addition fits a broader trend for the Orange and Blue as they continue to reshape and retool their roster through the transfer portal, prioritizing younger players who can develop over multiple seasons rather than short-term stints. With Ciongoli not having logged snaps in 2025, the Gators are effectively adding a redshirt freshman to a loaded receiver room headlined by players like Dallas Wilson and Vernell Brown III.

For Ciongoli, the decision to commit to Florida football offers a fresh start in a new environment and a chance to compete in the SEC. His development over the next couple of seasons will ultimately determine how big a role he plays, but the Gators are clearly betting on patience and projection with this latest addition.
