Ed Orgeron congratulates former LSU assistant Joe Brady on new job

Former LSU football coach Ed Orgeron took to social media to congratulate one of his former LSU staff members — new Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady.

The Bills tabbed Brady as their next head coach last week, after Brady served as Buffalo’s offensive coordinator. The Bills have been one of the NFL’s most successful franchises over the last half-decade, but owner Terry Pegula felt a change was needed. Not too much change, though, as Pegula remained in-house for his next head coach.

Brady first rose to prominence at LSU in 2019. He served as LSU’s receivers coach and passing game coordinator, helping modernize the Tigers’ attack. LSU built one of the best offenses in the history of college football. Quarterback Joe Burrow won the Heisman, throwing to star wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase.

Here’s what Ed Orgeron had to say.

“Hey Joe, congratulations being named the head coach of the Buffalo Bills. I know that’s something you always wanted, you strived for it, and you worked very hard for it. Congratulations,” Orgeron said.

“And Joe, thanks for the job that you did for LSU Tigers. You and Steve Englinger put together the most prolific offense in the history of college football. We had some great players, we had some great coaches, we all worked together,” Orgeron added.

Orgeron finished the video with a “Go Bills.”
