The Nike LeBron 23 continues its run with an all-black style titled “Masked Menace” for Spring 2026, inspired by LeBron’s masked era with the Miami Heat that included him scoring a career-high 61 points against Charlotte.
Look, nobody wants a facial injury, but for hoopers, at the risk of reaching, the one bright side is that you can score immediate aura points by showing out in a protective mask, looking literally like Batman out on the court. Rip Hamilton, Kobe Bryant, Russell Westbrook, and LeBron James are just some of the names to have a “masked era,” with LeBron actually doing it twice, once during his first Cavs run and again with the Miami Heat.
The “Masked Menace” LeBron 23 features an all-black colorway akin to the mask worn during his five-game masked run with the Heat in 2014, in which he broke the Miami single-game scoring record, as well as his own career high, with 61 points in a win over the Charlotte Bobcats at home. LeBron actually wore a clear mask as opposed to a black one that day, but most who remember the run will tell you the black version was undeniably harder.
Official images of the grade school LeBron 23 “Masked Menace” have now surfaced, showing black carbon fiber on the crown. This differs from the adult version we broke down in December of last year, which appears to feature a matte finish. Even further back, Anthony Davis was spotted wearing a similar all-black LeBron 23 ahead of the model’s debut. It’s possible that both the matte and carbon fiber styles will hit shelves, but we’ll need to see official images of the adult SKU to say for sure.
The Nike LeBron 23 “Masked Menace” is currently expected to drop March 2026 in adult and GS sizes, priced at $210 USD for adults. See official images of the GS version below while we wait on more info.
