Tom Aspinall Shows Off Horrific Red Eyes Following Successful Surgery

Tom Aspinall recently underwent double eye surgery, and the image he shared one day after his operation is not too pleasant to glance at.

Although the latest update about Aspinall appears promising, he will still be sidelined for a few more months before the commission clears him to compete.

Last year at UFC 321, Aspinall locked horns with Ciryl Gane to defend his 265-pound strap. However, the title bout ended in a no-contest after the challenger poked the champ in both eyes in Round 1. Aspinall opted not to continue because he could not see clearly.

Many initially believed the Brit was losing and used the eye poke as an excuse to get out of the fight and retain his strap. However, when reports surfaced, it was revealed that the UFC heavyweight kingpin was suffering from Brown syndrome and experiencing double vision.

Tom Aspinall’s Horrific Red Eyes post-surgery

Tom Aspinall had previously informed fans that he would have surgery on both eyes and would also get an eyeball injection.

Earlier today, on Instagram stories, the Brit shared a photo of himself after surgery in which his eyes appear completely bloodshot. His left eye is looking even worse.

Check out Tom Aspinall’s red eyes following surgery below:

Reportedly, Aspinall underwent surgery at Optegra Eye Health Care in London. The clinic shared some more snaps via an Instagram post and captioned it:

“After his highly publicised eye poke injury, Optegra’s expert team is proud to have supported MMA fighter and UFC Heavyweight Champion @tomaspinallofficial. Over recent months, we’ve been working closely with him on his recovery. Following his operation on both eyes, we continue the journey to get Tom’s vision back to fighting fitness.”

Check out the post below:

UFC CEO Dana White had assured fans that Aspinall and Gane would run it back as soon as the champ recovers.

However, given that the Brit has just had surgery in both eyes, he will most likely not return to defend his title anytime soon, as the 32-year-old has previously made it clear that he will prioritize his health over rushing back to the octagon.
