San Antonio Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox has been named by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to replace injured Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo in the 2026 NBA All-Star Game. Fox will join USA Stripes, while Miami Heat guard Norman Powell, who has ties to Jamaica, will move from USA Stripes to Team World.
The 6-3 Fox has earned his second NBA All-Star selection, his first since the 2022-23 season. In his ninth NBA season, he is averaging 19.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.27 steals in 45 games. Fox was selected to the All-Tournament Team for the Emirates NBA Cup 2025 after averaging 22.3 points, 7.7 assists and 2.00 steals during the Spurs’ run to the Championship Game.
Fox has helped lead San Antonio to a 38-16 record this season, second place in the Western Conference. He joins Spurs teammate Victor Wembanyama (World) and head coach Mitch Johnson (USA Stripes head coach) in the NBA All-Star Game.
