The Calgary Flames have received some good trade offers for Nazem Kadri
Flames Nation: Darren Dreger on the Calgary Flames and forward Nazem Kadri. The likelihood of Kadri being traded has increased, but the Flames will remain patient, as the good offers that they have already received could get better.
“But I do think that the appetite for change is increasing with (Nazem Kadri). That’s not to say that he wants out.
But I think that, I know there are offers that are available to the Calgary Flames that are viewed as being good offers. Offers that would, would make the Flames better.

But in defense of Craig Conroy as general manager, here’s why I think he takes a little bit more time before pulling the trigger. People around Kadri might go, ‘Okay, well, those seem like good offers. The interest seems pretty high.’
But you’ve got Vinnie Trocheck, who we know is available, and the possibility of Ryan O’Reilly coming into play. We’ve speculated on Ryan O’Reilly for several weeks, but that doesn’t mean that he was or is a true trade target, right? Nashville has to determine that, you know, in concert with O’Reilly. So that’s what teams are waiting for.
So even though the offers are good, if you’re Craig Conroy, and teams are swirling around those two guys, maybe in conjunction with Kadri or slightly ahead of Naz, for whatever reason. I don’t know. Why wouldn’t you wait?
I mean, if O’Reilly isn’t available, well Nazem Kadri’s expected return probably goes up, and the willingness to accept that price probably goes up. So there could be more of a waiting game. But I do get the sense that it’s going to happen.”
