Lineups, team news, confirmed starting teams as Araujo makes surprise return to squad

Barcelona have named Ronald Araujo among the substitutes for their rearranged La Liga clash with Osasuna despite manager Hansi Flick previously saying the Uruguayan would not feature due to injury.

Araujo missed his country’s 0-0 draw with Bolivia on Tuesday, leading Flick to rule the defender out along with Raphinha after the Brazilian played in the 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Argentina on Wednesday.

Barcelona’s fixture against Osasuna at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium was originally scheduled for Saturday 8 March. However, the game was postponed just minutes before kick-off due to the death of the Catalan club’s doctor, Carles Minarro Garcia.

A win for Flick’s side would move them three points clear of rivals Real Madrid at the top of the table. However, the match scheduling in La Liga – a point of particular frustration for Flick – means Barca have to contend with playing seven games in 20 days.

Osasuna, meanwhile, are currently in 14th spot, six points clear of the relegation zone.

Here are how the two teams line up for tonight’s meeting.

Barcelona team news

The surprise inclusion of Araujo will be a welcome one for Barca fans, although it remains to be seen whether the 26-year-old will play any part.

Raphinha indeed misses out, while Pau Cubarsi, who was also injured on international duty for Spain, also makes the bench.

Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres, Pedri and Frenkie de Jong all start for the Catalan giants.

Osasuna team news

Enzo Boyomo makes the matchday squad for the visitors despite turning out for Cameroon in the recent international window.

Unai Garcia also makes the bench despite missing training earlier this week. Bryan Zaragoza is out with injury, while Lucas Torro is suspended.
