England unveil their brand news 2026 World Cup home and away kits, posting it across their social media this evening.

The home shirt, made by Nike, features a classic white base with subtle jacquard patterning and navy piping for a modern touch.

The collar includes the slogan “HAPPY AND GLORIOUS,” and a gold star above the crest commemorates the 1966 World Cup win.

It also comes with red down the side with navy outlines. Footy Headlines website add that the jersey will be available for purchase starting March 2026.

Tuchel’s side have already booked their place at this summer’s tournament in North America following their 5-0 victory over Latvia in Riga.

This little place we call home.

ENGLAND STATEMENT:

In anticipation of the FIFA 2026 World Cup, England have released an atmospheric video to unveil the designs for the new Three Lions’ home and away kit.

The visuals are brought to life by one of the most influential figures in British music this century, Mike Skinner. Both kits will be available from Monday 23 March via EnglandStore.com and Nike websites.

The biggest stage in football is set to be lit up with fresh designs on both kits, with a distinct collar and fabric print that pops on the white home design and a central badge on the red kit.

Directed by Keane Pearce Shaw, the launch is a galvanising moment for fans and players alike, celebrating the diversity of the England squad whilst also acknowledging the unifying aspects of England fandom during major tournaments.

There are nods to past tournaments, from Bobby Moore 60 years on from England’s win on home soil, to Jude Bellingham’s bicycle kick at EURO 2024. We also see fan favourite Jordan Pickford in the new goalkeeping kit for the first time in an England kit launch.

This launch signifies a new era for the Three Lions, being the first major tournament under the management of Thomas Tuchel, with skipper Harry Kane, the new face of Elliot Anderson, and Marcus Rashford at the heart of the video.

What stands out most about this release is the ambition to bring the joy back to English football.

After multiple near misses in recent years, there’s a sense of optimism amongst the Americana and the smiles on the faces of players and fans.

There’s also inclusivity in championing Para Lions with Dan McLellan (England Powerchair), Harry Baker (England cerebral palsy), Ollie Johnson (England Blind men’s) and Oliver Manoochehri (England deaf Men’s) from their respective England teams, as well as real fans.

Mike Skinner provides the perfect voiceover for the video, tapping into his ability to summarise the mood of the nation that has seen him scoop up multiple number one albums and a Brit Award in the process.

He signs-off by saying, ‘Can the Jules Rimet come home again? To England, to this green and pleasant land.’

This launch encapsulates the power of the Three Lions and their enduring symbolism of hope for the nation.

England Euro 2024 compared with the leaked World Cup 2026 Home Kit

As per Footy Headlines: “We can leak the first images of what is probably England’s 2026 World Cup kit, giving you an early look at what the Three Lions will wear in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

@grhaer9/@opaleak have shared two more real images of England’s 2026 home kit. They give us a closer look at the intricate embossed patterns on the shirt.

The Nike England national football team 2026 World Cup jersey stays true to England’s classic identity while adding subtle modern touches to set it apart from previous years.

The England 2026 home shirt has a classic white base, staying true to England’s traditional home look. Subtle jacquard patterning is visible in the fabric for texture and breathability.

Inside the collar is the slogan “HAPPY AND GLORIOUS”. A single gold star sits above the crest, representing the 1966 World Cup win. This makes a shift to the subtle monochrome star usually featured on England’s home kits.

Thin navy piping detail runs along the shoulder seam for subtle contrast, while the side inserts in red, edged with a navy outline, add dynamism and a modern cut to the otherwise plain white body of the England 2026 home kit.

Here’s how fans reacted as England unveil their brand new 2026 World Cup home and away kits…

@av_josh1: That is absolutely class 😮‍💨

@isaacjennings80: Anderson in the Red 😍😍😍

@AnthonyBraithw7: Yessss its coming home, keep your adidas T – Shirts. 🦁🦁🦁

@Sam_Webster94: When you compare it to the adidas stuff not as good but still not a bad set

@Gurnery_: The England kits are beautiful. Still not paying £100 for one however.

@jackhennessy19: That away shirt is lovely

@callumhartill: Adidas have dropped a banger for every team and Nike have released this dross. Fock em off.

@Finlay_Rufc5: Best kit we’ve had for ages, love the retro look 😍 might aswell hand us the trophy now

@LiamMUFC69: Finally a Gold star above the badge, it was like we were ashamed we had won the World Cup before

@TomMcKYid: Reminds me of the admiral England kits

@GK1Spurs1882: This is class! Best England kit in years

@fpl_juice: Please @England let @adidasfootball have the next kit. They are so far clear of @nikefootball at this point, it’s a joke

@wilts_villafan: It looks like they’ve merged the Italia 90 and ‘98 shirts together. Not sure how I feel about it.

@JoshGrotzke: Umbro retro vibes

@Rob_Paddock_: It’s taken Nike 20 years but we finally have a good home kit 😍

@KitConnorsseur: They’ve actually printed happy and glorious on the inside of the new England shirt. Wowee 🫣

@sticktobetting: 8 not quite as nice as the current one but still nice

@hendocfc:Like: 1986 reference in the collar/cuffNot sure about: the red down the sideDislike: “Happy and Glorious”

@LastManBalling: This will be popular.

@LaursenB: Actually quite like that, reminds me of the mid 90’s which is very on trend

@petetang80: Not great but maybe looks better on. Red panels seem overly designed and unnecessary

@KitNerdUK: Yawn. I really didn’t like the 2022 one but at least that was trying something. This just feels like a lazy evolution of the current shirt.

@clarke_bra67631: for once i actually really like it, if it believed to be the official shirt ofc which it most likely will

@Overthegiantree: That design is so nice. Could have been so much better with a normal collar 😩😩😩

@iamlukedavidson: We need a total 90 kit

@morrell_chris: Bang average at best once again

@Overthegiantree: THE STAR IS BACK !!!!

@twochoicestom: Very nice. Hopefully red numbers.

@DawgAVFC: that’s actually not bad

@aloadofoldshirt: Nike 🤝🏼 Underwhelming shirts

@Sharpy9PS: Little bit Euros 96 / World Cup 98 vibes no? Better than most of their efforts recently

@MaybeMartLowe: If that is it.. that’s best home shirt we’ve had in years.. that lovely

@joel120702: I really like this shirt as it’s giving Euro 96 / World Cup 98 vibes

@TyJenner: Oh my goodness. These kits are making me skint man ffs 😭😭

@bighamster: The collar reminds me of the 2020 shirt

@Mark14Robinson: At least the star isn’t muted down this time 👍🏻

@I_am_the_Paulus: Retro collar and cuffs, but red bits don’t work for me

@MG117_: Harry Kane gonna look class lifting World Cup in that

@olifisher: Get rid of the red sides and the weird V-neck. The 1986-88 trim can stay 👍

@AnthonyBraithw7: Sleeves like Euro 88 shirt … didn’t end well tournament

@stephenhall1983: I quite like that tbf 86 vibes and like the red

@LeeHall1977: Euro 88 vibes. Like it.

@GWi26: How very 1986-88. Why the red sides though?

@bluewhitewall: I get a slight hint of umbro vibes with the red bits but once again it’s a plain boring England kit. Nike are so boring when it comes to one colour kits, Tottenham, Chelsea are other examples. The thin line on the shoulder is pointless. Triangle at the front is pointless. 6/10

@ChatShirt: Nike misjudging both the general feeling & state of the nation somewhat with the text on the new England shirt … 😕😕😕 I am OVER these Nike collars going into business for themselves … this could’ve been a great 80s throwback instead … the collar. Again. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Strangely, despite the sheer amount of 80s England shirt references on it … it’s also giving me strong “vibes” of the England Euro2000 shirt. The Euro 2020/21 shirt had a simple crew neck, but I mean, the very fact that we aren’t remembering that I think speaks more to shirt release fatigue & shirts not being as memorable as they were. But this neckline on the upcoming shirt would’ve worked FINE. 👌🏼
