Braylon Lane has opportunities to play college football just about anywhere in the country.
He’s got an offer list with nearly 20 schools asking for his commitment. From Arizona State to San Diego State. From Auburn to Missouri, Lane absolutely has his opportunities.
And to be fair, he still has those opportunities. Commitments at this stage in the game are verbal only. We’ve even seen players get out of signing with a school, so anything can — and does — happen on the college football recruiting trail.
In the here and now, though, Lane, a three-star wide receiver from Houston, Texas, has decided to stay near home to play college football.
He committed to the Houston Cougars on Tuesday.
Arkansas, Iowa State, Kansas, TCU and Mississippi State were also in the running for his commitment.
