The Florida Gators have to feel like they’re building something special as part of Jon Sumrall’s first recruiting class.
On Wednesday, the Gators picked up a massive commitment from five-star offensive lineman Maxwell Hiller. According to the 247Sports Composite, Hiller is the No. 4 overall recruit in the country. He chose Sumrall and the Gators over Alabama, Ohio State and Tennessee.
A day later, it’s being reported that one of the top quarterback recruits in the country will be joining the Gators.
On Thursday, Davin Davidson, a four-star quarterback from Sarasota, Florida, committed to the Gators.
“This one just felt different,” Davidson told Rivals regarding his decision. “It started last year when I went to Florida four or five times. I liked it with the old staff too. Then every time I was around Florida, it felt natural. It felt like where I’m supposed to be. The more I visited, the more it felt like home.”
