Real Club de Campo has added another title to its collection as they won the 2026 Copa de la Reina Iberdrola with a final victory over Sanse Complutense.
All the goals came in the first five minutes with Campo winning over their Madrid rivals 2-1.
In fact, less than a minute had passed when Pablo Usoz’s side earned their first penalty corner. María López unleashed a powerful, angled shot that made it 1-0 just 30 seconds after the opening whistle.
Then Begoña González set up an unmarked Flor Amundson. The forward controlled the ball, cut inside, and scored the second goal.
Complu did not let their heads drop and they got one back when a run down the right by Sara Carmona saw her cross deflected by María López into her own net.
From there, Sanse put together numerous attacks but could not find a way through and Campo held firm for victory.
Flor Amundson said of the win: “This is a team effort. It was a bit of a struggle throughout the Cup, but we had a lot of hockey and we were able to pull it off.”
On the awards front, Blanca Pérez was the final MVP, Club Egara’s Mariona Girabent the best goalkeeper, Sara Carmona the talent of the tournament and Paula Jiménez (Sanse Complutense) the tournament MVP.
