The Florida Gators are rolling on the 2027 recruiting trail.
New head coach Jon Sumrall has high expectations for the Gators now that he’s in charge. If he keeps recruiting at the level that he is, the Gators could very well reach the heights that they became known for on the gridiron back in the Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer eras.
On Tuesday, Sumrall and the Gators picked up two more-than-notable recruits.
The biggest of the two, literally and figuratively, is Elijah Hutcheson, a four-star offensive tackle from Roanoke, Virginia.
Checking in at 6-foot-5, 275 pounds, Hutcheson is ranked as the No. 7 offensive tackle in the 2027 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
He committed to Florida over Clemson, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.
