The Dubois family already produced two world champions. Now another name is starting to turn heads inside British boxing.
Daniel Dubois and sister Caroline turned the family name into one of the best-known surnames in British boxing, but another Dubois is now quietly emerging through the amateur ranks.
According to many, inlcuding father Stanley, Solomon Dubois could eventually become the best of them all.
Another Dubois emerges
The 13-year-old prospect has attracted attention in national tournaments while developing under the guidance of the Dubois umbrella. Stanley, the man who helped shape both Daniel and Caroline into world champions, is overseeing his other son’s progress.
Daniel himself has publicly backed Solomon to become a major force in the sport one day as the youngest member of the fighting family continues his rise.
That naturally brings expectation.
A lot has already been written and said about the Dubois family over the years, and not all of it has been positive. Family feuds, public disagreements, pressure, and media scrutiny have followed the surname through much of Daniel and Caroline’s careers.
Fresh chapter
With Solomon, though, there is already a feeling that boxing could be watching the beginning of a fresh chapter.
As Daniel and Caroline gradually move toward the latter stages of their careers, Solomon will only just begin his own journey.
The pressure is already there, but he’s following in footsteps that will be able to pass on significant knowledge.
When a family has already produced two world champions, expectations arrive long before title fights or professional contracts ever appear.
That is what makes Solomon’s situation so interesting because the noise around him is not coming from random social media hype trying to manufacture the next big thing.
The belief clearly exists inside the family itself.
Stanley has long hinted that Solomon may naturally possess the kind of slickness and raw ability you simply cannot teach.
Pressure arrives early
At the same time, there is obvious danger in placing too much expectation on someone so young.
Boxing history is full of prospects who had pressure piled onto them before they were physically or mentally ready to carry it.
For now, Solomon remains a schoolkid learning his trade while carrying one of the most recognizable surnames in British boxing.
A professional move and likely link-up with Frank Warren will almost certainly arrive later if he keeps progressing.
Right now, though, it is simply about keeping his feet on the ground while the attention around him continues to build.
Because if the belief inside the Dubois family proves correct, British boxing may eventually discover that the most talented Dubois was the youngest one all along.
