The Nebraska Cornhuskers have pulled off one of the biggest recruiting wins of the 2027 cycle.
Jordan Agbanoma is a four-star interior offensive line recruit from Loganville, Georgia. Checking in at 6-foot-2, 300 pounds, he’s ranked as the No. 5 interior offensive line recruit in the 2027 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Jordan Agbanoma is an elite talent for Nebraska
Agbanoma could play college ball just about anywhere, but the Georgia Bulldogs were a massive in-state option for him.
He’s an SEC-type recruit through and through, and he was also highly considering the Florida Gators and Texas A&M Aggies.
Agbanoma took multiple trips to Lincoln, Nebraska, though, and every time he came away feeling closer to Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule and offensive line coach Geep Wade.
This last trip, which happened in early March, was the tipping point for the Georgia offensive line prospect.
“Seeing how Coach Wade and Coach Rhule coach, spending time with the players and seeing the city — I left that visit feeling good,” Agbanoma told Rivals. “I didn’t make the decision that day, but a few weeks later, I felt great about Nebraska. It has been a long journey, but this is my commitment and I am done with the recruiting process.”
Those have to be sweet words for Rhule and Nebraska to hear. Now with nine commitments signed up for 2027, Agbanoma is one of the Huskers’ highest-ranked recruits.
He had a ton of options, but the Huskers just made sense.
“At the end of the day, it was the best fit for me,” he said. “I can go there, focus and play football, play early and become the best of my ability.”
