Dan Hurley and the UConn Huskies got all the way to the NCAA championship game, but they weren’t able to repeat the success of 2023 and 2024 and instead fell to the Michigan Wolverines.
UConn’s season was still strong, and, of course, the Huskies remain an elite men’s basketball team in the NCAA. The team finished the season with a 34-6 overall record, was 17-3 in the Big East and was ranked No. 2 in the AP Poll.
Hurley continues to be a force in college basketball, and that’s why he’s able to land sought-after players in the transfer portal.
Now, the Huskies just got a new superstar. According to a report from ESPN college basketball insider Jeff Borzello, Northern Arizona transfer Isaiah Shaw is heading to UConn.
Dan Hurley snags 6-foot-8 marksman from transfer portal to enhance UConn’s lineup: Report
“UConn has landed a commitment from Northern Arizona transfer Isaiah Shaw, sources told ESPN,” Borzello stated on X. “6-foot-8 wing averaged 8.1 points and shot 46.4% from 3 last season. Scored 21 points against Arizona State in December. Started his career at Grand Canyon.”
