If Alex Golesh wants to get the Auburn Tigers back into contention both in the SEC and nationally, he’s going to have to be great in two ways.
First and foremost, he’s going to have to start getting some big wins on the recruiting trail. Unless things drastically change, that will always be a big part of success in college football.
Golesh will also have to navigate the transfer portal, and it’s worth noting that Auburn did bring in the No. 9-ranked transfer portal class this winter.
There’s reason for optimism, and those vibes continued on Tuesday.
The Tigers hosted a big official visit weekend right at the end of May, which Golesh hinted would lead to some big-time commitments. Several commitments were made, but not all went public.
On Monday, the Tigers received a public commitment from 4-star running back Kingston Miles from St. Louis, Missouri.
On Tuesday, that was followed up by a commitment from 3-star cornerback Aidyn Wiggins from Duncan, South Carolina. He committed to Auburn over LSU, Syracuse and Virginia Tech.
