The National League outright title winner, promotion, top seven odds have been revealed for the 2026/27 season.

Preparations for the division’s 24 teams are underway, pre-season friendlies begin next month, new shirts being revealed and fresh signings being brought in.

Barrow and Harrogate Town drop into non league having been relegated from League Two, while they will also face National League North champions ACF Fylde, playoff finals Kidderminster Harriers as well as National League South champions Worthing and playoff winners Hornchurch.

The 2026/27 National League season, known as the Enterprise National League for sponsorship reasons, will be the second season under the division’s new sponsored title, having previously been Vanarama, and before that, Skrill, Blue Square Bet, Nationwide, GM Vauxhall and Gola, the 12th under the current title of the National League, 23rd season consisting of three divisions, and the 48th season overall.

The 2022/23 season saw the expansion of North and South divisions to 24 teams apiece, a planned increase which was originally scheduled in 2019. However, after the curtailment and voidance of the 2020–21 season for both North and South, promotion and relegation were postponed. For those reasons, the implementation of expansion plans was delayed until 2022–23.

The 2017/18 season was the first season to include six teams in the play-offs for each division, with the 4th-7th placed teams participating in the qualifying round and the 2nd and 3rd placed teams qualifying for the semi-finals.

Right then, time to take a look at the National League outright title winner, promotion, top seven odds, now that it’s revealed for the 2026/27 season…

Twitter users reacted as the National League outright title winner, promotion, top seven odds are revealed for the 2026/27 season…

Dave Stephen: For me I think Southend are going to smash it next season… they at least deserve it! 🤷‍♂️

Emma Rutherford: Come on Carlisle this is your time

Geoff Gane: Carlisle and Scunthorpe. Or Southend.

Christopher Karpasitis: SOUTHEND FOR ME

Rebecca Gilbert: For me I think Boston will be up there, Paul hurst getting quality players who he had with Grimsby some who have just dropped down from league one. Would like to see them and Hartlepool love away day ace fans at Hartlepool

Nicholas Hackett: My top In order i would like to see even tho only two go up. 1 Hornchurch, 2 Gateshead. 3 Boston,

Douglas Charlton: Wide open league going to be exciting this is real football from the championship downwards not the premier league

Richard Tann: Tbh should be 3 up to league as National League teams deserve this. Most have better quality and bigger crowds than league 2. Most that come up do well and get in to League 1 which is much deserved.

Steven Roche: 6 ‘big’ teams still there, this time next year, at least 4 of them will still be there. So glad we managed to escape!

Brian John Rtid Simper: Carlisle and Southend to battle out the champions

Dave Hawcroft: C’mon Sarfend United get back into league 2.From a Barnsley fan.

Mark Stillanumpty Richardson: Carlisle or Southend to win the league. Boston to be the dark horse

Steve Marriott: Southend, it’s time…

John Vint: Barrow will be promoted I reckon.

Stephen Murray: Very tough league top to bottom as always, those teams who don’t spend will find it harder but they will be difficult to beat

Gary Peskett: Carlisle and Southend

Stuart Day: Still can’t believe Hornchurch are I this division. Going to be hard, but looking forward to it 👍🏻

Ian Wiltshire: Harrogate and Barrow will bounce straight back up

Colin Beaney: Worthing will surprise a few but Southend will win it

Gregory Spencer: Carlisle will win the league

Avariver Josh: As a dale fan I’d like to see Carlisle or Hartlepool to go up but it will be a tight season for you all best of luck to you all and I’ll be keep an eye on this league

Martin Jeffs: Best of luck to Hornchurch, if they stay up, they will have done very well indeed!

Rob Lee: Southend to win the league and Carlisle to win through the Play Offs

Dave Smith: On paper a weaker league than it has been for a few years imo

Simon Templar: Ooohh look … all the massive clubs, with a massive fan base are still in non-league !! Didn’t do you much good did it ? Southend, Scunny and Carlisle !!??

Ian Simpson: Worthing dark horses for me. At least play offs I reckon.

Jan Stanlick: Southend for me to

Louis Richardson: Starting to look more like a proper non league again. I hope Southend & Carlisle manage to escape to the EFL.
