The road to Eastlake, Ohio, is officially on for nine New England teams. The NCAA Division 3 Baseball Championship begins on Friday, with local clubs set to compete at six of the 16 four-team regional sites.
This year’s bracket has extra intrigue for New England fans, as two regionals will be contested inside our borders in Gorham, Maine (Southern Maine) and Medford, Mass. (Tufts). Familiar teams are also set to take the field in Maryland, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The New England region has gone without a title-winning team since Eastern Connecticut made its way to the top in 2022, but Endicott looks to continue an incredible run that has included three straight College World Series appearances.
