The path to the postseason is starting to shorten for New England’s Division 1 ballclubs.
While two regular-season weekends remain for most, Holy Cross is set to begin its Patriot League title defense next weekend before Brown and Yale will both enter the Ivy League playoff field following one final scheduled series.
Elsewhere, it was a winning weekend for eight local clubs remaining in their respective conference races, with Northeastern having earned a crucial season series victory in the CAA’s North Division, Merrimack sweeping a three-game MAAC road set, and Quinnipiac topping its in-state rivals for the first time in over a decade.
This edition of NEBJ’s Monday roundup covers all of that and the rest of the action from around the region.
