The NBA player movement cycle is officially in effect, and given the shakeups across much of the league, perhaps it’s time to tip our cap to Cleveland not messing with a winning formula. Though their exit to the New York Knicks undoubtedly leaves a bad taste in the mouths of some fans, there’s still a pathway to build on the first ECF appearance for this era of the red and gold.
That’s got to be welcome news for adidas Basketball, now afforded the rare opportunity to have two of their signature tentpoles under the same roof. Next time we see the Cavs in action, that’ll mean new threads for Mr. Donovan Mitchell, having already debuted his adidas DON Issue 8 and now getting a full runway to flex his latest and greatest. In the interim, fans will get first crack at several of the colorway options, including this “Lucid Lime” option at hand. We can expect the gradients that’ve already defined the “Spider Man” colorway to make repeat appearances down the line, but this pair leans on sleek futurism. Silver tones throughout the upper meet hi-vis neon green, finished with some blue/purple pops for contrast.
The adidas DON Issue #8 “Lucid Lime” is confirmed for an August 1st release, settling into a $120 retail price. Watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for more coming out of adi Hoops.
