Everybody else is already at dinner or celebrating while it’s barely past lunch for me, so you get a July 4th offering from me today.

The Padres are looking to end their seven-game losing streak, and they get Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Something to watch out for is the MLB debut of Eliezer Alfonzo, who was called up for Chuckie Robinson in an exchange of backup catchers.

Dave Roberts said Shohei Ohtani feels considerably better today. TBD on if he’s available to pinch hit. Hopeful he’ll be back in the lineup tomorrow.
