Nike Basketball’s next GT model just made its debut. During a training session ahead of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, Washington Wizards rookie AJ Dybantsa was spotted wearing a never-before-seen Nike Basketball silhouette; Sneaker News can exclusively confirm with Nike that the shoe is an upcoming addition to the brand’s GT franchise.
The official model name has yet to be revealed, but at this stage, the silhouette is potentially one of three upcoming new entries in the line slated for a 2027 release: the GT Uptempo, GT Force, or GT Flight.
The early reveal is fitting given Dybantsa’s growing role within Nike Basketball. Selected first overall in the 2026 NBA Draft, the Nike athlete has quickly become one of the brand’s cornerstone young stars. He was also the first athlete to unveil the Nike GT Future during the Nike Future Gams at NBA All-Star Weekend in 2026, signaling Nike’s confidence in placing its newest innovations on one of basketball’s brightest rising talents.
While technical specifications remain under wraps, the shoe features a low-cut construction with a molded exterior with a bootie construction for lockdown fit. His PE logo appears at the heel.
Expect additional details surrounding Nike’s newest GT model to emerge as Summer League continues, with official release information likely to follow in the months ahead.
