Every FBS team begins this year believing they have a path to the College Football Playoff. But realistically, only a handful have the combination of elite coaching, quarterback play, roster depth and championship-level talent required to win it all.
Several teams are capable of making the playoff. Far fewer are built to survive four months of a grueling regular season and then win multiple postseason games against other elite opponents.
