Gonzaga’s all-time leading scorer (men’s or women’s) will now be teammates with Caitlin Clark. Yvonne Ejim was taken by the Indiana Fever with the No. 33 overall pick in the third round of the 2025 WNBA Draft. The 6’1 forward is the ninth player in Gonzaga’s history to be drafted to the WNBA.

Ejim averaged 20.7 points on a 53.1 field goal percentage plus 9.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game in her senior campaign. The amount of awards that the Canadian has won in her five-year career in Spokane is absurd:

2x West Coast Conference Player of the Year (2024, 2025)

2x West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year (2024, 2025)

Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year (2024)

West Coast Conference Sixth Woman of the Year (2022)

3x First Team All-West Coast Conference (2023, 2024, 2025)

Second Team All-West Coast Conference (2022)

4x West Coast Conference Regular Season Champion (2021, 2023, 2024, 2025)

2x West Coast Conference Tournament Champion (2021, 2022)

Ejim appeared in the NCAA Tournament four times under Gonzaga coach Lisa Fortier: Round of 64 in 2021, Round of 32 in 2022, Round of 64 in 2023, and the Sweet Sixteen in 2024.

In other WNBA Draft news, Haily Van Lith was taken with the No. 11 pick in the first round by the Chicago Sky. The Wenatchee native will be joining Gonzaga legend Courtney Vandersloot in the backcourt who is entering her 15th season in the WNBA.
