Jaylen was an undrafted free agent signed by the Braves following the 2025 MLB draft.

Because Jaylen was signed following the draft, he appeared in just four games for the Augusta GreenJackets. He showed flashes, locating his fastball in the upper third decently well which led him to a 9 K/9 rate, and limited walks to 3 walks per 9, but all of this was based on a sample of six total innings. What Went Right?Jaylen stayed healthy upon his return to action for the Yellow Jackets, and maintained his velocity at the start of his professional career.
What Went Wrong? With a total of six innings, there’s not much to draw from but Jaylen showed his upside and definitely ended the season with people intrigued about what he could do on the mound.
Jaylen will likely start the season again in Augusta before being promoted to Rome. He has the pitch mix to succeed, and if he’s able to locate his fastball well, has the chance to rise in the reliever ranks in the organization. As an undrafted free agent, the expectations will be low but that does not mean Jaylen could really open some eyes in 2026.
