With the deadline for teams to tender contracts to arbitration-eligible players, the Atlanta Braves announced that they have non-tendered pitcher Alek Manoah and Carson Ragsdale. That means that they did tender a contract to left-handed reliever Dylan Lee, but did were not able to agree on terms of a contract for 2026.
Right-handers Manoah and Ragsdale could both re-join the Braves on minor league contracts. Ragsdale has been claimed off waivers twice by Atlanta – each time after being DFA’d by the Baltimore Orioles.
Manoah, who started 75 games for the Toronto Blue Jays over four seasons, was claimed by Atlanta toward the end of the 2025 season. Manoah was an All-Star and finished third in the 2022 American League Cy Young vote, but has struggled with ineffectiveness and injuries the past two campaigns.
Unless the two parties are able to agree on a contract, Lee and the Braves will head to arbitration, but Lee will remain under team control.
